welcome
Welcome to the Lions Club of Jasper, the #1 Club in the State of Georgia each year since 2001. Chartered in 1939, we are the oldest and most active civic service organization in our community, and we have enjoyed a proud legacy of service, not only locally, but around the state as well.
The Jasper Lions sponsor various service activities, including the annual 4th of July Celebration, the Veterans Day Parade, the Community Health Fair, and the Rabies Clinic. Our local Fill-a-Stocking project provides Christmas presents for over 900 children in Pickens County each year. We also participate in a very active recycling program, collecting used eyeglasses, hearing aids, and cellphones, which are sent to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.
Some of our fundraising efforts include the 4th of July raffle, Bucket Brigades to benefit the Georgia Lions Lighthouse and the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, and the Spring Vidalia Onion Sale. With the money we raise, we help provide sight and hearing services, and support many local organizations and charities.
The Jasper Lions also support the statewide Lions projects, which include the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, and the Athens Unit of Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic. In addition, we contribute regularly to the Lions Clubs International Foundation, the grant-making arm of our Association.
